VLADIMIR SPIVAKOV and MOSCOW VIRTUOSI - 35th Anniversary Tour!

The Moscow Virtuosi and Vladimir Spivakov - 35th Anniversary Tour!

and 10 Years Celebration of Show One Productions!

“First-class string performers brought to perfection by Maestro Spivakov.”  – The New York Times

For 35 years, the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra and its maestro, Vladimir Spivakov, one of the world’s most prominent conductors and violinists, have set the gold standard for chamber music performance. The Washington Post has hailed the Virtuosi as “a dramatically unified ensemble” with “a sound that would put many full orchestras to shame”.

The ensemble – top-ranking soloists from the great orchestras of Russia – has garnered superlatives through both live performances around the world and more than 30 recordings on BMG/RCA Victor Red Seal of standard repertoire, lesser known gems and new creations.

Maestro Spivakov and the Moscow Virtuosi come to Vancouver and Toronto as part of the world tour celebrating their 35th anniversary. Music lovers here have always welcomed them with the greatest enthusiasm, filling up every seat in the house.

In Toronto - celebration continues with the post-concert lobby performance and recpetion celebrating ten years of Show One Productions and featuring Canadian - Italian Daniela Nardi's jazz world music project Espresso Manifesto.

On Artistic Excellence and Freedom
Review by Show One Productions

On Artistic Excellence… and Freedom

Classical music, throughout history has touched the hearts and souls of millions of people raising their spirits in good times and in difficult times.

Recent events in Russia and Ukraine have caused some people to focus their frustration on Russian artists performing in North America, raising concerns that freedom of art and music may be, unjustifiably so, in jeopardy.

For the past 10 years, Show One Productions has brought some of the world’s most revered artists to Canada. Our artists come from various ethnic backgrounds, religious beliefs, and sexual orientation. Some may have political views which differ from our own. We present them with one consideration only: their artistic merit.

The fact that our company has grown and prospered bears testament to the fact that our audiences share that single consideration - "in music we all unite."

Respectfully Yours,

Svetlana Dvoretsky
